The terms are important, even though they may be confusing. They can help the team as well as provide more information on the game. Ace, AP AD and Diff stand out as the most interesting terms. Let’s now move on to League of Legends terms.
- Ace: Kill the champions of your opponent’s team.
- AD: Attack Power
- AD Carry (Attack power carrier): Often used by marksmen.
- It means “away from keyboard”. It means “away” from the keyboard.
- AoE: An attack that damages a large region.
- Ability Power (AP)
- AS: Attack speed.
- Assassins: Assassin champions will be called. For example; Akali, Zed, Kha’Zix.
- B: Return to base using the shortcut.
- To bait is to trap.
- Ban: Ban.
- Baron/Nashor/Nash: Huge purple monster.
- When killed, the power is transferred to the team.
- BG: Shorthand for “bad game”.
- Blue: Power-up blue monster in the forest.
- Bot: This is the name of the bottom lane on Summoner’s Rift.
- Buff: Buff. Buff: Buff.

- Build: Champions item build
- Burst: High damage delivered at once.
- Bush/brush: the bushes in Summoner’s Rift
- Be careful: A reminder to be cautious
- Carry: good players carry the game.
- CD: Cooldown / cooldown. The time taken for an ability to be used again.
- Counter jungle: Take over the enemy jungle camps and knock back the jungler in level gold.
- Crit: Acronym for Critical.
- In Turkish, CS stands for Creep Score. This number indicates how many minions have been killed.
- DC: Dropped from the game / Disconnected.
- Debuff: A buff that limits a champion’s abilities.
- Dive: Attacking an opponent who is under a tower.
- To be behind in terms of power. These players are less valuable to the team.
- DPS: Damage per second.
- Drag/Drake: Dragon, dragon. It is a team-building exercise.
- Duo: two players enter the game at the same time.
- Facecheck: Entering an invisible bush
- Farming: Get stronger by killing your minions. Farming makes champions like Nasus stronger.
- First Blood. First blood is drawn when the first score has been taken.
- Feeding: to strengthen an opponent, by feeding them constantly.
- GA: Guardian angel / guardian angel.
- Gank: Raiding a lane by an opponent without warning. Normally, junglers raid.
