Metacritic Will More Actively Fight Review Bombardments

The most recent victim of the attack was Burning Shores

Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC has been received a flurry of negative reviews from users on Metacritic recently. The game’s critic score at Metacritic is currently at 82 and the average of users has risen to 4.

When you read the reviews that are negative on the internet, you can see that there are more zero ratings as there are people in the world. It is not necessary to talk about the motives for such an absurd behavior in giving a zero to a game however, if we speak in particular regarding Burning Shores, some choices made by Guerilla Games in the story of the game, certain players did not like the game and so they stayed with in a 0 point position. In reality this is an extremely frustrating scenario to Guerilla Games.

The parent company of Metacritic, Fandom, has announced that it will be fighting with greater force against the people that spread hatred on their sites and harass users with untruthful reviews starting today on.

Fandom has also stated that they intend to enhance software and tools they offer and improve the moderating.

“Metacritic is aware of abusive and disrespectful comments about Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores and our moderation system is in place to track violations of our terms of use,” Fandom added.

The Last of Us II was once again a target for attention because of its plot. Resident Evil 4 Remake is exactly the same, and even Lilly Gao, who voiced Ada Wong, was harassed by social media. It’s essential for Metacritic to adopt more proactive steps in this direction.
