As per the official Mortal Kombat account, those who have pre-ordered Mortal Kombat 1 will get access to the beta program earlier. The owners of Xbox Series X/S don’t need to wait until August 18th for the download of the beta.
Early access for Xbox Series X/S owners
The new Generation Xbox console owners can begin the booting process by looking on the search engine for “Mortal Kombat 1 Pre-Order Beta” on the store. Customers must order the full game prior to their purchase in order for access to the beta trial. The beta testing will be available through the 21st of August.

In the list of characters that can be played in the beta are Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Li Mei. Kano, Sony, Jax and Frost will also be included on the Cameo fighters. There are two arenas to fight in: The Teahouse as well as Johnny Cage’s Mansion are also arenas where you can fight.
